If you came here for the share emoji, here's the part nobody mentions: there isn't one. Unicode has never made an official โshareโ character โ the little arrow you tap inside Instagram or WhatsApp lives inside the app, so you can't copy it out. When you need a share icon for a bio, a caption or a text, you borrow the closest thing instead: an arrow like โ๏ธ, a looping one like โช๏ธ, or an emoji such as ๐ค and ๐. We've pulled together the ones people actually reach for, all one tap away.
๐กOur pick: if you want one symbol that reads as โshareโ on every app, go with โ๏ธ โ it's the one most people recognise straight away.
โ๏ธ Share & forward icons
tap to copy
These are the symbols people grab when they say โshare iconโ. They're ordinary Unicode characters, so they drop into a bio or comment as plain text without breaking the layout. Rough rule of thumb: โ๏ธ and ๐ค say share, โช๏ธ and โก๏ธ say forward, and ๐ / ๐ say reshare or repost.
๐ค Share emojis
tap to copy
These are for the message itself โ the โshare this with a friendโ or โreshare for supportโ kind of post. A ๐ or ๐ next to a ๐ reads as a friendly nudge to share, while ๐ฒ and ๐ work when you want someone to send something on.
โจ Share emoji combos
tap to copy
Grab a ready-made line for a caption, story or โplease shareโ post โ copied in one tap.
๐คโจ Share this!
๐๐ Reshare โป๏ธ
๐๐ Tap & share
๐ฒ๐ Send to a friend
โจ๐ Link in bio โ share!
๐ฅน๐ Please share ๐ค
๐ฅ๐ค Spread the word
๐ค๐ Sharing is caring
๐ค Which share symbol should I use?
Every app already has a share button built in, so a copied symbol mostly earns its keep in captions, bios and plain text. Here's what tends to suit each one:
Nope โ and it catches a lot of people out. The share button you see is drawn by the app, not stored in your emoji keyboard, so there's nothing there to copy. That's why everyone quietly settles on an arrow or a sharing-themed emoji instead. None of them is the โofficialโ one, because an official one doesn't exist โ you just pick whatever reads cleanest next to your words.
๐ Want a share icon as an image?
If you need a share icon as an actual picture instead of a text character โ for a thumbnail, a button or a graphic โ we make our own free share images in red, blue, black-and-yellow and a TikTok style. Use a text symbol for captions and bios; grab an image when you're designing something.
๐ How to copy a share emoji
Tap any symbol and it lands on your clipboard right away. From there it's a normal paste โ long-press then Paste on a phone, Ctrl + V (or โ + V) on a computer. It's all plain Unicode, so it turns up the same inside Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok and everywhere else.
โ Frequently Asked Questions
Short version: no. There's no official โshareโ emoji in Unicode. The button inside your apps isn't a character, so people use โ๏ธ, โช๏ธ, ๐ค, ๐ or ๐ instead โ all sitting up top, ready to copy.
Most of them are just arrows. โ๏ธ is the up-right arrow, โช๏ธ is the right arrow curving up, โก๏ธ is the plain right arrow. ๐ค is the outbox tray and ๐ is the repeat button โ both read as share or reshare.
Those are part of each app โ a paper plane on Instagram, a forward arrow on WhatsApp โ so you can't copy them as emojis. In a caption or bio, โ๏ธ and ๐ค get the idea across, or โช๏ธ if you mean forward.
Honestly, they blur together. โ๏ธ and ๐ค lean โshareโ, โช๏ธ and โก๏ธ lean โforwardโ, and ๐ / ๐ lean โreshareโ or โrepostโ. Use whichever fits the sentence โ people read them all the same way.
The symbols above are text, but if you need an actual image we've got free share icons in a few colours and styles to download.
Yep. They're standard Unicode, so they show up on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and every big app. The drawing shifts a little device to device, but the meaning doesn't.
Tap the symbol, open Instagram, edit your bio or caption, long-press the field and hit Paste. It goes in as normal text โ no app or font to install.
